Robert Victor Ostuni, age 80, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on August 9, 2023. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 24, 1942 to Alfred and Elizabeth Ostuni.

He graduated from North Fulton High School in Atlanta and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. While serving as a reservist, he attended UCLA where he studied business administration and finance. After returning to Georgia in 1970, Robert worked with his father to grow the family’s sign business, and then went on to have a very successful career as a real estate developer and residential builder. Robert was enamored with the ocean and enjoyed sailing and traveling. Always the storyteller, he enjoyed telling jokes and old family stories to his loved ones over drinks at parties and family gatherings. The most important was his family, and he cherished the time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. He was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Michael Ostuni and Elizabeth Ostuni; and brothers, Richard Michael Ostuni and William Alfred Ostuni.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Jessica Vaquera (spouse Oswaldo Vaquera) of Atlanta, Georgia; son, Robert Smith (spouse Shelly Smith) of Orange, Texas; grandsons, Roberto Ostuni, Miguel Vaquera and Brenon Smith; granddaughters, Jocelyn Vaquera and Payten Smith; sister, Susanne Ellis of Ellijay, Georgia; and nieces, Elizabeth Hanneman-Manon of Oklahoma and Tina Miller of Fayetteville, Georgia and Maria Felch of Brooklyn, New York.

The family will receive guests for a catered Celebration of Life between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:30pm on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at HM Patterson Canton Hill Funeral Home. At 1:45pm, friends are invited to tell stories and share memories with everyone attending.
